Coralie Vogelaar – Recognized / Not Recognized

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Coralie Vogelaar’s latest art exhibition is called Recognized / Not Recognized.
A blog about the audio post production we did for this video.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Preview_Recognized_Unrecognized_CoralieVogelaar from Peilendoejezo.nl on Vimeo.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A zoom recorder was used for the recording of this video choreography. It contained quite some unwanted noise in the background.
Think of sounds such as clicks by phone interference, a tram, airplane and car noises.
I used several techniques for this audio post production session. Those included eq notching, noise reduction, declickers and old fashion copy pasting.

I noticed a lot of the car noises and airplane noises happened in the low band.
So I split the audio into 2 files. One file for the low end and one for the mid and high frequencies.
The exhibition setup used 2 screens which displayed 2 videos simultaneously. Therefore 2 seperate mono files were post processed and exported. One for the left video and one for the right.

Check out Coralie’s website for more on how she works and the thought process. A very interesting read.

The video exhibition can be seen at BredaPhoto International Photo Festival and runs until october 30th 2016.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][socialWarfare][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][templatera id=”5871″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
